a week ago my elder son had his birthday and I wanted to make him a very personal gift. So I made a mosaic with pix from him as baby and child and in the center pieces of a mirror, so he can see himself now. Because he likes PCs, I used a monitor frame as the frame for the mosaic.

I was not so sure, if he likes it, but he loved it at the first look.

My daughter in law had her birthday yesterday. Cause she loves such little hancrafted things, I sewed a Tatüta (Taschentüchertasche = a pocket for tissues); I like this german word 'Tatüta' and a little sac for tea candles for her. Normally you put a matchbox in this front pocket, but it was too late to buy one, and a lighter doesn't really fit.

So long, I wonder I still find time to breahte

This evening we got visit by an old friend. He is a very standard guy, too standard for me, I have to admit. The only thing he is not ordinary, is his love for skirts. He just loves to wear them. When I got to know him, he made a great secret out of it. But since he knows, that I have no problems with his skirts, he comes always, when he has bought a new one. I give him some advice, how it looks best. For example, that he has to wear his bumbag not in his waist, but closer to his hips. When he lived with his parents, he always was hidding his skirts, so his mother couldn’t find them. A few years ago he moved together with his girlfriend still hidding the skirts. He only wears them inside his flat so nobody can see him. What a poor guy!

I just can’t understand, so few men are wearing skirts. In the summertime nothing is better to do. Since when do women wear trousers? When men are emancipated enough to wear skirts?
